Just like in winter, some electronic devices may not be able to charge, so GPS locators that work outdoors while receiving satellite signals are also affected by environmental factors. The acceptable range for locators in low-temperature environments is -20-70 degrees, which many people may think is not important as such high temperatures are not possible at room temperature. In fact, this temperature range only means that the GPS locator can maintain its operation, but it may not necessarily achieve optimal working conditions. In winter in the north, minus 20 degrees Celsius is also common, not to mention that the temperature can be even lower in some harsh environments. In summer, it is not guaranteed that vehicles will always park in a shaded parking lot. As long as they are outdoors, the interior of the car is a closed space, and the temperature inside the car is even higher than outside, let alone cars directly exposed to sunlight. A stable ambient temperature of 15-35 degrees Celsius is the optimal condition for continuous operation of GPS locators.

If the above two weather conditions occur and the locator is still placed outside the car, such as the bumper in the car trunk, vehicles directly exposed to the environment will be subject to greater restrictions. If the operating temperature of the GPS locator exceeds the acceptable range, it will automatically shut down and stop working to protect the components of the equipment and will not automatically damage the device. People often ask if the sun exposure locator will explode? In fact, the explosion of GPS locators is mostly caused by wiring problems, where incorrect connection of the wiring leads to changes and conflicts in various parts of the device. If your GPS locator is properly installed, this situation is unlikely to occur. Similarly, the same applies to low-temperature environments.
