Since December 27, 2011, the automobile GPS positioning system has started to provide continuous passive positioning, navigation, time service and other trial operation services to China and surrounding areas. Automotive GPS positioning has entered the peak period of satellite launching and networking. According to the Beidou system networking and launching plan, six networking satellites will be launched in 2012 to further expand the system service area and improve service performance, forming a service capacity covering most of the Asia Pacific region. By 2020, the Beidou satellite navigation system will have global coverage.

With the steady growth of China's national defense funds every year and the acceleration of the army's informatization construction, the demand for Beidou satellite navigation related equipment as infrastructure will gradually emerge. At the same time, in the civil market, such as transportation, surveying and mapping, telecommunications, water conservancy, forestry, disaster relief and public security, there is also a strong demand for Beidou navigation, positioning, time service and communication functions, with broad application prospects and huge imagination space. At present, the industry application demonstration project has also started. The "Key Transportation Process Monitoring and Management Service Demonstration System Project" of the Ministry of Transport and the "Atmosphere, Ocean and Space Monitoring and Early Warning Demonstration Application" project of the Meteorological Bureau have been launched. After the demonstration project, it will be fully promoted and applied, and the Beidou industry application will soon break out.
