The GPS global positioning system is built in the United States. It is mainly divided into three parts: ground control stations, satellites flying in the sky, and receivers in our hands.
First, let's talk about the equipment. The satellite is prepared by the United States. As for the main control station, of course, it is in the United States, Colorado. Three ground antennas and five monitoring stations are distributed around the world. It mainly involves collecting data, calculating navigation information, diagnosing system status, and scheduling satellites. There are 27 satellites in the sky, 20200 kilometers from the ground. 24 of the 27 satellites are in operation and 3 are standby. These satellites have been updated in three generations and five models. The satellite transmits two signals: L1 and L2. L1:1575.42MHZ, L2:1227.60MHZ。 The clock on the satellite adopts cesium atomic clock or rubidium atomic clock, and hydrogen atomic clock is planned to be used in the future. The receiver is in your hand. Large and small, various, including pocket, backpack, vehicle, ship, and airborne. Generally, the common handset receives L1 signals, and the dual frequency receiver is used for precise positioning.
