The Satellite navigation that guides car drivers has the following four important factors: satellite signal, signal reception, signal processing and map database.
Vehicle navigation satellite signal, the vehicle Satellite navigation needs to rely on the global positioning system (GPS) to determine the position of the vehicle. Most fundamentally, GPS needs to know the longitude and latitude of the car. In certain special circumstances, GPS needs to know the altitude to accurately locate. With these three sets of data, the accuracy of GPS positioning can often reach 2-3 meters.
The working principle of the GPS system for vehicle navigation signal reception is to analyze the signals received from synchronous satellites. Projected on a vertical plane, these signals can be vividly represented as inverted funnels one by one. When the lower half of these "funnels" overlap to a certain extent, the GPS analysis program can calculate the coordinates of the car's location.
In vehicle navigation signal processing, the signal received by GPS and the information provided by the speed measuring device shall be provided to the Automotive navigation system through the receiver, analyzed and processed by the software system, and overlapped on the stored map.
In the vehicle navigation map database, when the coordinate information provided by GPS overlaps with the electronic map, the driver can see his current position and future direction. This final step is called mapping and is also the most important part of the car navigation system. Leaving the mapping navigation system is equivalent to having no direction.
