The latest third-generation chip of SiRF, SiRFstar III (GSW 3.0/3.1), uses a 200000 frequency correlator to improve sensitivity. It can track 20 satellite channels simultaneously in 42 seconds for cold start, 38 seconds for warm start, and 8 seconds for hot start.
China's Beijing Oriental Lianxing Technology Co., Ltd. independently designed and developed the fastest satellite navigation chip in the world in the first half of 2008. Cold boot for 35 seconds, warm boot for 30 seconds, hot boot for 1 second, with a recapture time of less than 1 second, capable of simultaneously tracking 32 satellite channels.
