Global satellite positioning system refers to a satellite system that monitors and positions objects on the Earth's surface through artificial satellites. It is currently divided into the GPS system of the United States, the Galileo system of the European Union, and the GLONASS system of Russia. In addition, China's Beidou satellite navigation system has been used for civilian use and can achieve positioning, monitoring, and navigation in the Asia Pacific region.

　　In the domestic automotive satellite positioning industry, GPS and Beidou positioning systems are commonly used according to the different positioning chips used. Due to various reasons, Galileo and GLONASS systems are not the preferred choices for domestic satellite positioning operators.

　　Car locators rely on global satellite positioning systems to achieve vehicle positioning management. The GPS satellite signal adopts a code division multiple access system, and the signal frequency and modulation method of each satellite are the same. The signals of different satellites are distinguished by different pseudocodes. In terms of positioning accuracy, the GPS three-dimensional positioning accuracy P-code is 6m, the C/A code is 12m, and the timing accuracy is about 20ns recently. The three-dimensional positioning accuracy of the Beidou navigation system is about tens of meters, and the timing accuracy is about 100ns.
