Generally, wired GPS locators have three wires, one connected to the positive pole of the car power supply, one connected to the negative pole, and one belonging to the ACC wire.
Only when the GPS locator forms a closed current loop with the vehicle power supply can the wired GPS locator work. If two of the three wires of the locator are broken, then the locator must not have formed a closed circuit with the car power supply. Without forming a closed loop and the locator not being powered on, it is naturally impossible to continue locating and tracking the vehicle's position.
The same applies to loose locator circuits. If the locator circuit is loose, this closed loop will not "close", which will also cause the device to be offline and unavailable.
