GPS is the abbreviation of Global Positioning System, which means global positioning system. It is a huge space and aerospace project implemented by the United States government after more than 20 years and cost 12 billion dollars. The system can provide information for ground targets around the world, so as to determine the precise location, speed, operation and other parameters of the target on the ground.

GPS positioning artificial health is composed of 24 artificial satellites flying at an altitude of 26560km above the ground. Each satellite orbits the ball for about 12 hours, and is divided into six orbital planes, with an angle of 55 degrees, covering three earth surfaces. Each satellite continuously transmits digital signals to the earth. GPS users on the ground calculate their position (longitude, latitude and altitude), speed and operation on the earth by receiving more than four satellite signals at the same time.

The GPS system provides two kinds of positioning services: P code and C/A code. P code provides precise positioning services for military use. C/A code provides standard positioning services for navigation, vehicle navigation and other non military purposes. For civil positioning service, the positioning accuracy provided by the system is 25 meters, but when human interference is added (SA policy of the U.S. government), the positioning accuracy becomes 100 meters.

Now, people are more and more aware of the importance of GPS and its broad application fields. In addition to military applications, it has been widely used in aerospace, aviation, navigation, surveying, exploration and many other fields. With the continuous decline in the price of GPS receiving boards and the continuous improvement of their performance, GPS systems are more and more widely used in car anti-theft. When cars are stolen, GPS systems can continuously provide the location of stolen vehicles, So as to cooperate with the police to go out of the police quickly and crack down on crimes. For example, Ronaldo, the world famous football star who currently plays for Inter Milan in Italy, was robbed by five armed robbers while driving his beloved BMW on vacation in Rio de Janeiro. Fortunately, Ronaldo's BMW was equipped with a satellite positioning system. Within an hour, the stolen car returned to its original owner.
