  1. Good reception sensitivity

  Receiving sensitivity is the minimum signal receiving power that the receiver can correctly take out useful signals. The good reception sensitivity of GPS navigation module makes wireless products have stronger ability to capture weak signals. In this way, as the transmission distance increases, the received signal becomes weaker, and the highly sensitive wireless products can still receive data, maintain a stable connection, and greatly improve the transmission distance.

  2. Extremely fast positioning time;

  Positioning time refers to how long the GPS device will automatically start to determine its position, usually in seconds. When this time is reached, the GPS device will send a signal to the GPS positioning satellite to determine its position. It also includes the positioning time of initial startup, cold startup and hot (warm) startup. Both the car navigation and the map navigation in the mobile phone are based on the GPS module. The shorter the positioning time is, the easier the test data will be recognized by the engineer. At present, the cold start time of the GPS modules developed and produced by SKYLAB is 23s, the warm start time is 2-3 s, and the hot start time is less than 1s.

  3. Position accuracy;

  Position accuracy refers to the degree of conformity between the coordinate values obtained from the spatial points and their true coordinate values. The positioning accuracy with high accuracy is the basis of the design of GPS positioning module. If the positioning accuracy does not reach the functional effect, no matter how gorgeous the design of GPD module is, it will make people unhappy. Of course, the use of different navigation environments should be considered before other factors.

  The positioning accuracy can be inspected under static and dynamic conditions, and the dynamic positioning effect is superior to the static positioning. The nominal positioning parameters of the GPS module refer to those measured in a fully open sky with good satellite signals. Therefore, it is difficult to achieve the nominal positioning time and positioning accuracy in conventional testing.

  4. Power consumption;

  Power consumption refers to the difference between input power and output power of equipment, devices, etc. With the rapid development of computer technology and microelectronics technology, embedded systems are used more and more widely. Energy saving is a global upsurge. For example, many chips in computers used to be powered by 5V, but now they use 3.3V and 1.8V. The concept of green system is proposed. Many manufacturers attach great importance to the low power consumption of GPS modules. The low power consumption design of circuits and systems has always been an important factor for electronic engineers and technicians to consider when designing. The power consumption of GPS modules developed and produced by SKYLAB is only dozens of mA, which belongs to low power consumption modules, and engineers can rest assured of their choice.

  5. Time accuracy;

  Time precision is the classification of time measurement according to the requirements of each user, and it is a way to measure. Time precision can be divided into nanoseconds (ns), picoseconds (ps), microseconds (us), milliseconds (ms), seconds (s), minutes (min), hours (h) according to the magnitude level.
