Intelligent transportation system is the development direction of future transportation systems. It is a comprehensive transportation management system that effectively integrates advanced information technology, data communication transmission technology, electronic sensing technology, control technology, and computer technology intelligent transportation into the entire ground transportation management system, and is established to play a role in a large scale, all-round, real-time, accurate, and efficient manner. ITS can effectively utilize existing transportation facilities, reduce traffic load and environmental pollution, ensure traffic safety, and improve transportation efficiency, thus receiving increasing attention from people.

With the rapid development of China's economy, road traffic has also developed rapidly. The key technologies of intelligent transportation systems have continuously made breakthroughs, and China has formed a batch of complete sets of intelligent transportation system technologies and equipment that are in line with China's national conditions; The construction of intelligent transportation in first tier cities, as well as in eastern coastal and economically developed cities, has begun to take shape. With the implementation of pilot projects for the construction of smart cities in various regions, the construction of intelligent transportation is gradually expanding to second and third tier cities, and the level of intelligent control and service of urban transportation nationwide has significantly improved. Intelligent transportation "is an important component of smart city construction and has been widely applied in fields such as urban traffic command and management, urban public transportation management, highway and transportation management. By improving ground bus scheduling and information services, taxi comprehensive information services, rail transit transfer information services, and transportation hub comprehensive information services. It can help travelers choose better modes of travel, shifting from "blind" travel to "orderly" and "reliable" travel. The development of intelligent transportation has played an important role in maintaining personal and property safety. In recent years, various regions have spared no effort to promote the construction of intelligent transportation and have made it an important goal for the development of smart cities.
