The spatial distribution of GPS is composed of 24 GPS working satellites, which together form the GPS satellite constellation, of which 21 are navigational satellites and 3 are active standby satellites. The 24 satellites orbit the Earth in six orbits with an inclination of 55°. The orbit period of the satellite is about 12 sidereal hours. Each GPS working satellite sends out signals used for navigation and positioning. GPS users use these signals to do their jobs.
