In the past, clothes were in pursuit of fashionable colors and novel styles, but now intelligent elements are being sought after by more and more people. Professor Wang also told reporters that during the World Expo, several new smart clothes made by his team will also be fresh, striving to serve the World Expo.

On March 23, Dongfang.com reported that in the past, clothes were in pursuit of fashionable colors and novel styles, but now intelligent elements are being sought after by more and more people. At the 16th Shanghai International Garment and Textile Trade Fair held recently, a set of intelligent fire suits with GPS positioning, vital sign detection and other functions attracted the attention of visitors and became a highlight of the fair.

The reporter learned that intelligent clothing is a cutting-edge topic for the textile industry. The research team of Donghua University started the research on intelligent clothing five years ago, and this set of intelligent fire clothing is a new variety they independently developed. In addition to the functions of fire prevention, heat insulation and high temperature resistance, the protective clothing has many intelligent designs. For example, installing sensors on smart clothes can realize real-time monitoring of human physiological signals and provide emergency services for firefighters by monitoring various vital characteristic parameters such as human heart rhythm, blood pressure and body temperature. In addition, the intelligent protective clothing also has the GPS positioning function. Through signal tracking, the monitoring and command center can quickly and accurately determine the real-time position of the firefighters, and then make effective command judgments to guide the firefighters along the accurate route.

The innovative and improved new fire clothing is more humanized. The application of new technology not only ensures the life safety of firefighters, but also improves the working efficiency of firefighters. Wang Hua, a professor at the School of Textile Science and Technology of Donghua University, also said that if the signal is unstable, the sensor will be difficult to accomplish the task of "remote sensing", so they are still doing further technical research to solve this problem.
