The accuracy of GPS position depends on several factors. 　　The accuracy of GPS position is represented by a precision factor (DoP). DoP represents a decrease in GPS position accuracy. The smaller the DoP value; The higher the accuracy of GPS positioning. The DoP mainly depends on the position of the GPS satellite used to track the receiver's position. If the tracked GPS satellites are evenly distributed in the sky, the positioning accuracy will be higher. If the spacing between tracked satellites is not proportional, the positioning accuracy will decrease.

　　The GPS receiver needs to track at least four satellites to accurately provide location and time. The first lock or fix allows the GPS receiver to obtain calendar information, so it can know which other satellites it can monitor. If there are more satellites visible to the receiver, the signal strength will be higher, and the positioning accuracy will be higher. The GPS receiver can see up to 12 satellites at a time.
