"Beidou" navigation system professional application field positioning reaches centimeter level

　　my country's first "Beidou" satellite navigation ground enhancement network - "Beidou" ground-based enhancement system Hubei demonstration project was completed and put into trial operation. The overall indicators of the project have reached the international advanced level.

　　The "Beidou" ground-based augmentation system is planned and constructed by the state and implemented by the Satellite Navigation and Positioning Technology Research Center of Wuhan University and the Hubei Provincial Bureau of Surveying and Mapping.

　　Shi Chuang, director of the Satellite Navigation and Positioning Technology Research Center of Wuhan University, introduced that this demonstration project adopted and developed software and hardware products with completely independent intellectual property rights, and built 30 "Beidou" continuous operation reference stations and control systems and corresponding precise positioning services. The system can realize the high-precision navigation and positioning service capabilities of the "Beidou" system through the enhancement of the ground reference station network.

　　After testing, the "Beidou" three-frequency real-time precise positioning technology is used, and its positioning accuracy is 2 cm and 5 cm in plane and elevation respectively; using the "Beidou" single-frequency differential navigation technology, the real-time positioning accuracy reaches 1.5 meters. Acceptance experts believe that the system is superior to the single-GPS-based augmentation system in terms of precise positioning initialization time and environmental applicability, and various indicators reach or exceed the level of the current international GPS ground-based augmentation system.
