Generally, GPS can record more than 1024 footprint points and display the movement trajectory at an adjustable scale on a dedicated page. There are two methods for sampling footprint points: automatic and timed. Even if you have already copied the old route, the route will be changed because the name referenced by the waypoint is reused, not the original backtracking route. Please review your GPS user manual and try it out to clarify your situation. If necessary, for TraceBack routes that need to be saved for a long time, copy them to the idle route and rename all waypoint names.
