Speaking of satellite positioning navigation systems, people will think of GPS, but now, with the rise of many satellite positioning navigation systems, the global satellite positioning navigation system has a brand new name: GNSS. At present, in addition to GPS, the most eye -catching in this field is the "Galileo" navigation satellite system that cooperates with the European Union and my country.
The "Galileo" plan is a medium -high circular orbit satellite positioning scheme. The establishment of the "Galileo" satellite navigation positioning system will be completed by the end of 2007 and is put into use in 2008. A total of 30 satellites are launched, of which 27 satellites are working satellites and 3 are alternate satellites. The height of the satellite is 24,126 kilometers, and it is located in the rail plane with a 56 -degree angle of 56 degrees. In addition to the 30 medium -high circular track satellites, the system also has 2 ground control centers.
The "Galileo" system will provide a positioning navigation service with a guaranteed accuracy of 1 meter by highway, railway, air and marine transportation, and even hiking travelers in EU members and China, which will also break the pattern of the US dominant global satellite navigation system. According to the plan, the first two experimental satellites will be launched in the end of 2005 and 2006.
