In the past, clothing pursued fashionable colors and novel styles, but now smart elements are beginning to be sought after by more and more people. Professor Wang also told reporters that during the Expo, several new smart clothes made by their team will also be freshly released, striving to serve the Expo.

The reporter learned that smart clothing is a frontier topic for the textile industry. The research team of Donghua University started the research on smart clothing five years ago. In addition to the functions of fire prevention, heat insulation and high temperature resistance, the protective clothing has added many intelligent designs. For example, by installing sensors on smart clothing, by monitoring various vital parameters such as human heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, etc., it can realize real-time monitoring of human physiological signals, and provide emergency rescue services for firefighters. In addition, the intelligent protective clothing also has GPS positioning function. Through signal tracking, the monitoring and command center can quickly and accurately determine the real-time location of firefighters, and then make effective command judgments to guide firefighters along an accurate route.

The innovative and improved new firefighting clothing is more user-friendly. The application of new technologies not only ensures the safety of firefighters' lives, but also improves the work efficiency of firefighters. Wang Hua, a professor at the School of Textiles of Donghua University, also said that if the signal is unstable, it is difficult for the sensor to complete the task of "perceiving remotely", so in order to solve this problem, they are still doing further technical research.

In addition, Professor Wang also told reporters that during the Expo, several new smart clothes made by their team will also be freshly released, striving to serve the Expo. Among them, there is a plain-clothes police smart suit that integrates functions such as recording, camera, GPS positioning, etc., and is expected to become a good helper for Expo security.
